Muslim convert Malik Nadal Hasan and 3 or 4 associates shoot up Fort Hood in Texas, killing at least 12 and wound 30. The media is downplaying his accomplices. There are others involved. There's all kinds of conflicting reports, but it is clear that Hasan was about to be deployed, and had talked against American mid-east involvement. There was some incident at Walter Reed hospital where he'd been assigned earlier.

This is all breaking news and hopefully will be clearer soon.
